Garrison Art Center Annual Art Auction

Garrison Art Center (GAC) invites art lovers and collectors to Art Now in the Hudson
Valley: A Celebration of Shared Space, a live auction spotlighting the creativity and talent of contemporary artists inspired
by the Hudson Valley. Featuring 40 works in various 2D mediums, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience and
collect exceptional regional art. Held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Garrison’s Landing, the auction is GAC’s largest
annual fundraiser, directly supporting its mission to make art accessible and cultivate a vibrant cultural community.
“This year’s auction highlights the many ways art connects us—to place, to history, and to one another,” said
Catherine Graham, Executive Director of GAC. “More than just a showcase of extraordinary work, this event is a crucial
fundraiser that sustains our year-round programming. We invite everyone to support our mission by attending,
donating, or simply spreading the word about this exciting celebration of art and community.”
Beyond traditional artworks, attendees will have the chance to bid on one-of-a-kind offerings, including an exclusive
opportunity to have a painter create a portrait of their home—capturing its character in an original work of art.
The event will be led by renowned auctioneer Nicholas Lowry, President of Swann Galleries, NYC, and a familiar face on
PBS’s Antiques Roadshow. Guests will enjoy a reception and viewing at 3 pm, followed by the live auction at 4 pm.
Tickets are $25 and include admission to the viewing reception and auction, wine, hors d'oeuvres, a bidding paddle, and
access to the elegant auction tent.
