The Putnam Arts Council is pleased to announce Small Works, a joyful holiday exhibition celebrating creativity on a small scale. Artists are invited to submit works no larger than 8” x 10” to be displayed in the A. Eric Arctander Gallery from November 29 through December 14, 2025. This open exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for artists to showcase and sell their work just in time for the gift-giving season — and for visitors to find that special something for the holidays. All entries will be accepted and displayed. Eligibility and Entry Guidelines

Artists aged 13 and older may submit up to four original artworks completed within the past three years and not previously exhibited at PAC. Works must be ready to hang; screw eyes and wire are preferred for framing (frames are optional). Pieces suitable for hanging with push pins are also welcome. Two-dimensional works must not exceed 8”x10” (including the frame), and three-dimensional works must not exceed 8”x10”x8”. All media is accepted, and artists throughout the region are encouraged to participate.

Sales and Fees

All artwork will be available for sale with a reduced commission of 30%.

Submission fees: $20 for PAC member artists and $25 for non-members (non-refundable). Submission forms can be found on our website and will be available at drop-off.

All works must be hand delivered to the A. Eric Arctander Gallery at the Putnam Arts Council, 521 Kennicut Hill Road, Mahopac, NY 10541. Each piece should be labeled on the back or bottom with the artist’s name, title, and price (or “Not for Sale”).

Opening Reception: Saturday, November 29, 2–5pm - festive refreshments and spirits

Gallery Hours: Sundays, November 30, December 7, and December 14, 2–5pm

Wednesdays and Fridays, 1–5pm, or by appointment

Closing Event & Artwork Pick-Up: Sunday, December 14, 3–4pm (artist talk) and 4–5pm (pick-up); additional pick-up Wednesday, December 17, 2–4pm
