Local Law #10 of 2026

 A LOCAL LAW TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF PUTNAM BY ADDING SUBSECTION E TO CHAPTER 222, ENTITLED “TRANSPARENCY ACT”

 Amending the Code of the County of Putnam, as approved and re-adopted by the Putnam County Legislature on August 4, 2026 by resolution #196, by adding Chapter 222 to the Code, entitled “TRANSPARENCY ACT.”

 Chapter 222 be added, to provide transparency to Legislative and Executive public hearings via access to meetings through a live streaming platform. Putnam County Legislature shall make all meetings of Legislature or its subcommittees available wherever practicable. A link to the livestream shall be posted in advance to a conspicuous location. Legislature shall ensure that members can be heard, seen, and identified at all times when the meeting is being conducted, including but not limited to any motions, proposals, resolutions, and any other matter formally discussed or voted upon.

 This local law shall take effect immediately upon the filing with the Secretary of State.
