Local Law #2 of 2026

A LOCAL LAW ESTABLISHING THE 2026 SALARIES OF CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICIALS SERVING FOR FIXED TERMS

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the County of Putnam as follows:

Section 1.

Section 201 of the County Law and Municipal Home Rule Law Section 24 (2)(h) requires that salary increases of fixed term officers shall be established by Local Law, subject to permissive referendum.Section 2.

The annual salary of the hereinafter designated County Officers elected for a fixed term is hereby set at the following amounts effective January 1, 2026:

Kevin Byrne, Putnam County Executive - $181,303

Michael Bartolotti, Putnam County Clerk - $156,963

John Bourges, Putnam County Coroner - $48,173

Wendy Erickson, Putnam County Coroner - $48,173

Michael Nesheiwat, Putnam County Coroner - $48,173

Nancy Montgomery, Putnam County Legislator - $48,173

William Gouldman, Putnam County Legislator - $48,173

Toni Addonizio, Putnam County Legislator - $48,173

Laura Russo, Putnam County Legislator - $48,173

Daniel Birmingham, Putnam County Legislator - $48,173

Amy Sayegh, Putnam County Legislator - $48,173

            *Additional Stipend for Legislature Chairperson - $12,044
