NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the County Executive of the County of Putnam at Room #102 of the County Office Building, 40 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, New York 10512 on the 30th day of July, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. concerning:

APPROVAL - LOCAL LAW TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF PUTNAM BY ADDING CHAPTER 222, ENTITLED “TRANSPARENCY ACT”

Amending the Code of the County of Putnam, as approved and adopted by the Putnam County Legislature on July 7, 2026 by resolution #159, by adding Chapter 222 to the Code, entitled “TRANSPARENCY ACT.” 

Chapter 222 be added, to provide transparency to Legislative and Executive public hearings via access to meetings through a live streaming platform. Putnam County Legislature shall make all meetings of Legislature or its subcommittees available wherever practicable. A link to the livestream shall be posted in advance to a conspicuous location. Legislature shall ensure that members can be heard, seen, and identified at all times when the meeting is being conducted, including but not limited to any motions, proposals, resolutions, and any other matter formally discussed or voted upon.
